Wynand Mans
I studied Sound production in the U.K. at The Recording Workshop. (Buspace studios) Even prior to that, i've been producing music by means of various tracking programs since high school.
I am classically trained in acoustic guitar and music theory, apart from further sound engineering and music production courses.
I am currently the college administrator at EMENDY where I also present various subjects of the Advanced Music Production course.
As EMENDY's studio engineer I have been involved with various productions including remixing work with Lady Lea, Hip-hop productions for Benixo Entertainment and various others.
As an artist I produce house music in all it's forms and have had airplay on radio stations such as 5Fm as well as most clubs in South Africa. I also produce trance under the name of Defect Explorer with DJ Vinnie V. (see below)

Shorty after completing the Advanced music production course at Emendy sound and Music technologies I
wanted to further my career in sound engineering and production.
I worked at the SABC studio’s in Aucklandpark as an assistant sound engineer on a lot of
recording projects and gained lot of experience in the sound engineering world. I was
lucky enough to be asked to be the assistant sound engineer for the recording
of the Soweto Gospel Coir. During
this time I had wrote and produced my first track
that was to be released soon.
I was signed with Elevate Music for a digital release. My track was used on
DJ Speedy’s Album “Two Worlds” and played by Mizz Julz (ESP Resident) in Rotterdam and
Zürich when she toured in Europe.

After
studying the DMP course in 2005 Thakalani introduced the principles of
music production and technology to the University and today they have a
dedicated department, classrooms and facilities teaching music
production on the same principles that Thakalani was taught a few
years ago.
Every
year Thakalalni and associates visit EMENDY for a couple of workshops
and seminars dedicated for the University of Venda, introducing the

Ravesh Surjoo
I started playing music at the age of 10. The first band I ever played for was Avikar.
I
learned a lot from the band and started playing drums. I also used to
work for a community radio station in Lenasia. Growing up I was eager
to further my music career and get more knowledge which led me to EMENDY Music College.
EMENDY made it possible for me to take my love
for music & skills to the next level. Learning
Music production has made me more creative and innovative. I am
currently running a production company called NLB Productions.
This
company has just started but is going to turn heads. We have already worked
with big names in the industry. I also currently DJ at parties and
clubs.

Shimane Applegreen
I
studied advanced music production at EMENDY Sound and Music
Technologies. They gave me exactly what I needed to introduce myself to
the entertainment business. I have a company called Apple productions
and it specializes in graphic designing, 3D design, video production and
mobile phone advertising that I recently got a contract for at Liberty
Life.
People ask how I do it and I just say: "I am not a business man but I am a business”.

I
studied the DMP course early 2007. I found the DMP course a dream come
true. It was eveything I imagined and more and within six months I was
able to produce the music I always longed for.
Since finishing my course I have started my own recording company "African Dynasty". I am in the process of completing my album.
I
am also currently producing music for a number of other artists and
hope to one day be the one of the greatest producer / artist / engineers that has
ever lived. It all started at EMENDY...
